This policy explains what personal information TRYON Technology collects, how we use and share it, and your rights. We operate a self-serve virtual try-on service for fashion retailers from Canada. Questions: privacy@tryon.technology.

Who this covers

This policy applies to shoppers who provide a photo to see a virtual try-on, to the businesses (merchants) who use our service, and to visitors of our website.

Information we collect

From shoppers: the photo you choose to provide for a try-on, and the resulting generated try-on image. From merchants: account and contact details, billing information (handled by our payment processor), and product/usage data needed to run the service. From visitors: basic, privacy-respecting analytics and a language preference cookie.

Shopper photos

Your photo is collected only with your consent and used for a single purpose: to generate your virtual try-on (an image of you wearing the product). We do not sell your photo, and we do not use it to train AI models. It is processed by us and by the fitting-generation provider acting on our behalf, kept only as long as needed to deliver the try-on, and then deleted or scrubbed (see Retention). You can withdraw consent or request deletion at any time.

How we use information

To generate virtual try-ons; to provide, secure, and improve the service; to bill merchants and prevent abuse; to produce analytics and reports for merchants; to provide support; and to meet legal obligations.

How we share information

We share information only with service providers acting on our behalf — the fitting-generation provider that renders the try-on, our payment processor (Stripe) for billing, and hosting/infrastructure providers — under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information where required by law.

Retention

Shopper photos and generated try-on images are retained only for a limited period and then automatically deleted or scrubbed. Account and billing records are kept as long as needed for the service and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your information, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@tryon.technology. In Canada we follow PIPEDA and Québec's Law 25; in the EEA/UK, GDPR rights apply. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

International processing

We operate from Canada, and your information may be processed in Canada and other countries where we or our service providers operate, with safeguards appropriate to the data.

Security

We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls, and encryption of sensitive secrets at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you of incidents as required by law.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies — including a cookie that remembers your language preference. The embedded try-on runs on a merchant's store; that store's own privacy practices also apply there.

Children

Our service is intended for adults and is not directed to children.

Changes & contact

We may update this policy and will revise the date above. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@tryon.technology.
